Ontario: Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has said that India has aggressively interfered in Canada’s sovereignty.
The Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, while giving a statement in the commission of inquiry, said that the Indian government has made this terrible mistake after thinking. We must respond to ensure the safety of Canadians. Even after the assassination of Sikh leader Hardeep Singh, there are even more clear indications that India has violated Canada’s sovereignty.
Justin Trudeau further said that intelligence information revealed that the opposition Conservative Party was also involved in foreign intervention efforts or there was a threat of involvement. Hardeep Singh Najjar, an official associated with the pro-Khalistan branch of the Sikh movement, was shot dead inside a gurdwara in Surrey, British Columbia on June 18 last year.
Earlier, the Canadian police had said that Indian diplomats were targeting Sikhs in collaboration with a criminal network, but India denied this.
