A 23-year-old girl died of a heart attack during a wedding ceremony in Vidisha district of the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.
According to Indian media reports, the young girl has been identified as Parineeta Jain, a resident of Indore and had come to Vidisha to attend her cousin’s wedding.
The incident took place during a wedding ceremony, where about 200 guests were present. In the video that went viral on social media, it can be seen that Parineeta was dancing on stage and suddenly collapsed on the stage due to a heart attack.
Her family members present at the ceremony, who were doctors by profession, immediately tried to give the girl CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), but she did not regain consciousness. Parineeta was immediately taken to a private hospital, where doctors declared her dead.
According to reports, one of Parineeta’s younger brothers also died of a heart attack at the age of 12.
It should be noted that this is not the first incident, there have been previous cases of deaths due to heart attacks during dancing and sports in Madhya Pradesh.
