Capital police are trying to determine the identity and citizenship of a foreign woman who was found tied up on the side of the road.
Police officials said they received information about an abandoned woman lying on the roadside in Sector G6 (1/3) on Wednesday. Happened to a woman.
The woman, who introduced herself as a Belgian national and told the police that she had come to Islamabad six months ago, claimed that she was living with a man who allegedly raped her repeatedly. .
The woman was taken to the hospital for medical attention where the police tried to take a statement from her but were unsuccessful.
The police also contacted the Belgian embassy, but they reportedly had no record of such a woman traveling to Pakistan. He declared the existing border area as his homeland.
In this regard, help was also sought from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), but they also do not have any record of the woman of this name traveling to Pakistan.
The woman failed to identify herself as she was not carrying any identity document, after which she led the police to a residence in Sector G7 which the woman claimed was her residence. said that they did not find anything there that would reveal the woman’s identity and citizenship.
The woman also gave the registration number of a vehicle to the investigating officers, after which the police questioned the owner of the vehicle.
Police said the woman is undergoing a medical examination at the hospital, and she can speak in both Urdu and English and appears to be mentally sound.
