KABUL: Afghanistan has said that in case of a cross-border attack, responsibility for the consequences will fall on Pakistan.
Responding to Defense Minister Khawaja Asif’s statement, the Afghan Ministry of Defense said in a statement on social media that anyone who violates our border under any justification will be responsible for the consequences.
The Afghan Ministry of Defense further said that it is important for Pakistan’s leadership not to allow anyone to issue sensitive statements on sensitive issues. It is Afghanistan’s principled position not to allow its territory to be used against any other country.
Pakistan’s defense minister said in an interview when asked about the attack on Afghanistan that nothing is more important than the sovereignty of Pakistan.
