The Islamabad High Court has scheduled the acquittal pleas of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former prime minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi in the 190 million pounds reference for hearing.
A two-member bench comprising Chief Justice Islamabad High Court Aamir Farooq and Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb will hear the case tomorrow (October 29).
The last hearing on the acquittal petitions in the Islamabad High Court was held on October 2.
It should be remembered that on October 18, the Islamabad High Court canceled the cause list of the hearing on the acquittal pleas of Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi in the 190 million pounds reference.
On October 9, the hearing of Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb could not be held due to ill health.
On September 12, the Accountability Court of Islamabad rejected former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s plea for acquittal in the 190 million pound reference.
On September 16, former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi challenged the decision of the Accountability Court to reject the plea of acquittal in the 190 million pounds reference in the Islamabad High Court.
Meanwhile, on September 19, the Islamabad High Court restrained the trial court from pronouncing the final verdict in the £190 million case.
On October 7, the Islamabad Accountability Court adjourned the hearing of the £190 million reference against PTI founders Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi to October 19.
