After 11 years, Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang has reached Pakistan on a 4-day visit to participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Conference. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif welcomed the Chinese Prime Minister at Noor Khan Air Base.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that it is a pleasure to welcome the Chinese counterpart, the historic visit of the Chinese Prime Minister will further strengthen and deepen our friendship.
Shahbaz Sharif said that we will review the current initiatives, especially the progress on CPEC and also find new ways to promote cooperation.
On the other hand, Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang has said in his message that as soon as I got off the plane, I was warmly welcomed and impressed by the deep, fraternal friendship and hospitality of the Pakistani people.
The Chinese Prime Minister said that he is very happy to visit Pakistan at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and is happy to participate in the 23rd Conference of the Heads of Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
Li Qiang added that Pakistan is an important developing country, an emerging market and a major Muslim country, Pakistan is China’s all-weather strategic cooperation partner and iron friend.
He said that Pakistan is loved and appreciated by the Chinese people, in 73 years both countries have maintained constant trust and supported each other. China-Pakistan relations have become a good example of bilateral state relations.
