Islamabad: Election Commission officials have said that PTI’s organizational structure will not exist if PTI’s intra-party elections are not recognized.
The PTI intra-party election case was heard by a 3-member commission headed by Member Sindh Nisar Durrani, in which Chairman PTI Barrister Gohar appeared. Member Balochistan inquired whether the PTI elections were held in Chamkani?, to which Barrister Gohar replied that no sir, the elections were also held in Islamabad.
Barrister Gauhar said that we have to submit the documents, give us a week to 10 days.
During the hearing, the bench asked the Election Commission officials that if we still do not recognize PTI’s intra-party election, what will happen in the future?, on which the DG Political Finance told the bench that the party has no organizational structure. will remain The bench directed the authorities to assist us on this point.
Barrister Gauhar said that we will also support you in this matter. The Election Commission has done what it could do for not holding intra-party elections.
Member KPK asked what we have the power to do if PTI still does not recognize the intra-party elections, to which the DG Political Finance said that action can be taken under Section 208 of the Election Act. is There should have been a gap of 5 years between 2 intra-party elections. Member KPK said don’t answer now but help us on this point in future.
During the hearing of the intra-party election case, petitioner Naveed Anjum appeared against the rejection of the nomination papers for the Chairman PTI election. He said that I wanted to contest the PTI intra-party election. I submitted papers against the chairman in the election which were rejected. Our appeal was also rejected. Now we have appeared in the Election Commission. The Member Election Commission said that you should submit your application, they will hear you at the next hearing.
Later, the Election Commission adjourned the hearing till October 2, giving time to PTI to submit the documents.
