Karachi: Former captain of the national cricket team Younis Khan has said that the players of the national team should come out of themselves and play for the country. If they cannot bear the pressure, then what is the use of them?
The former captain of the national cricket team, Younis Khan, while talking to the media at the Governor’s House, said that after the defeat against Bangladesh, there is no point in uprooting the dead. Our team has top cricketers like Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan and Shaheen Afridi.
He said that if a player is not able to perform, try to improve his performance. When our players fall, they fall. Everyone saw whether the pitch was slow or fast.
Younis Khan said that there are very sensible people in Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and I don’t know why Chairman PCB talked about lack of talent in domestic cricket. We have star players and immense domestic talent.
He said that the change in domestic structure during 10 years is responsible for our destruction. During this time, changes were made in the system again and again. Sometimes the system of England and sometimes Australia was tried to be implemented.
The former captain said that cricket should benefit from Jay Shah becoming the ICC chairman. Let them play their role and show spirit in sports. Thanks to his good actions, Indian cricket team can come to Pakistan and similarly Pakistan cricket team can also visit India.
He said that it will be better if sports are kept away from politics.
