ISLAMABAD: Khawar Manika has approached the Islamabad High Court against the restriction of ruling within a month on the appeals against the conviction of founder PTI and Bushra Bibi in the Duran Idt Nikah case.
According to the details, Bushra Bibi’s ex-husband Khawar Manika filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court. In which the position was adopted that the sessions court is apparently under pressure from the orders of the Islamabad High Court to give a decision in a month.
He said that the orders restricting the time limit for decision on appeals should be withdrawn.
In the petition, Khawar Manika requested the court to remove the one-month time limit for deciding the appeals.
It should be noted that the Islamabad High Court had ordered on June 13 to decide the appeal of the Iddat Nikah case within a month and the Sessions Court to decide on the request for suspension of sentence within 10 days.
