Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Sher Afzal Khan Marwat has said that I apologize to the workers for making big claims for the PTI rally.
PTI leader Sher Afzal Marwat said in his statement that first of all I would like to sincerely apologize to all the workers of PTI who came to Islamabad from any part of Pakistan to participate in the rally on August 22.
He said that when the announcement was made by the leadership, I was sleeping and when I woke up, the police raided the house where I was staying.
Sher Afzal Marwat said that I had released several video messages to encourage and invite people to participate in the rally. I had made big claims that the Jalsa would take place in any case but I did not know that I would not be taken into confidence on any changed decision.
He said that the workers are now abusing the leadership and I am not an exception. Keeping in mind the recent experience and to avoid future embarrassment, I have decided not to make any claim or promise regarding any future meeting or rally. Unless I am specifically entrusted with it. Otherwise I shall refrain from taking any responsibility. I will continue to work for Khan’s cause.
