Heart attack: Consumption of 200 grams of fruits and vegetables daily has been found to reduce the risk of this disease by 8%, especially with vitamin C, apples or pears, fruit juices, green leafy vegetables, carrots, and sweet potatoes.
Stroke: Eating 200 grams daily has been found to reduce the risk of this disease by 16%. This includes apples or pears, lemons, green leafy vegetables, and pickled vegetables.
Heart disease: Eating 200 grams of fruits and vegetables daily was associated with an 8% reduction in the risk of this disease, especially apples or pears, lemons, carrots, green leafy vegetables, and other vegetables.
Cancer: Similarly, the risk of cancer was found to be reduced by 3% if 200 grams of fruits and vegetables were eaten daily.
Deaths: The risk of early death was also reduced by 10% by eating 200 grams of fruits and vegetables, especially apples or pears, berries, and potatoes.
