Lahore: The results of a survey report have been released regarding how good or bad is the performance of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz in Punjab.
The Institute of Public Opinion Research (IPO) has released the results of a survey on the performance of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s government in 36 districts of the province, in which 62 percent of the people of Punjab described Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s one-year performance in public service and problem solving as unusual.
In the survey, 73 and 68 percent of the people described the Chief Minister’s initiatives in the education and health sectors as “good” and “very good”. Similarly, 63 percent of the people of Punjab described the performance of the Punjab government as “bad” or “very bad” in terms of employment provision.
In the opinion of 57 percent of the citizens of Punjab, the quality of government performance (governance) has improved during the past one year, while according to 17 percent, the performance has deteriorated. 57 percent of the people believe that the basic problems of the people and governance have been solved effectively.
According to the survey results, 60 percent of the people of Punjab believe that Maryam Nawaz Sharif has left behind the Chief Ministers of the other 3 provinces in terms of performance. Similarly, the people named education, health, infrastructure and a clean Punjab as the best works of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
According to the report, there was an improvement of 15 percent in the education sector, 14 percent in health, 11 percent in the construction of roads and buildings and 11 percent in a clean Punjab. Among the sectors that were demanded to be given immediate attention, employment (13 percent), health facilities (13 percent) and controlling inflation (12 percent) topped the list.
53 percent of the people of the province opined that the performance of the Punjab government and the quality of public service improved after Maryam Nawaz Sharif became the Chief Minister compared to the PTI.
The survey was compiled from the opinions of 66 citizens from 36 districts of Punjab. The survey was conducted in rural and urban areas from February 3 to 18.
