GAZA: Hamas has delayed releasing the names of Israeli hostages released today (Saturday), accusing Israel of violating the Gaza ceasefire agreement.
According to Salama Maroof, head of the Gaza state media office, Hamas will not be able to fulfill its promise to hand over the remains of the dead Israeli hostages because they are among the 12,000 bodies of Palestinians buried under rubble in Gaza and Israel is preventing heavy machinery from removing rubble from entering the Gaza Strip.
Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak has described US President Donald Trump’s plan to resettle two million Palestinians living in the Gaza Strip abroad as a fantasy.
Israel has allowed 8,500 aid trucks into Gaza in the past 20 days, instead of the required 12,000. The United Nations has called on world powers to increase aid supplies to Gaza.
