The Lahore High Court adjourned the hearing on the application of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for permission to hold a rally on Minar-e-Pakistan on August 13 till 1 pm.
Justice Ali Baqir Najafi heard Akmal Khan’s request.
The lawyer PTI told the court that a new application was submitted to the Deputy Commissioner Lahore yesterday, on which the government lawyer said that the application has been forwarded to the relevant agencies, now their response is awaited.
Later, the court adjourned further hearing till 1 pm.
It should be remembered that after not getting permission to hold a rally on Minar-e-Pakistan on August 14, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf had submitted a request to Deputy Commissioner Lahore for a rally on August 13.
PTI Central Punjab Senior Vice President Akmal Khan Bari submitted a request for permission to hold a rally at Minar Pakistan, Mochi Darwaza and Nasir Bagh.
The request said that on August 13, the meeting should be allowed at any one place from Minar Pakistan, Mochi Darwaza or Nasir Bagh.
In the request given to the Deputy Commissioner, it was said that we will completely follow the rules and regulations in the meeting.
In the text of the request, it was written that Tehreek-e-Insaf is the largest party in the country, so the rally should be allowed.
