A horrific explosion in Russia occurred just as Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov was leaving his residence.
According to the international news agency, the building was located in a secure area of the Russian capital and just 7 kilometers southeast of the Kremlin.
The explosion killed Igor Kirillov, the head of the RKhBZ radiation, chemical and biological protection forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, and his assistant.
The explosives were hidden in an electric scooter. As soon as Lieutenant General Igor left the house, a horrific explosion occurred.
After the explosion, Russian forces surrounded the area but no arrests have been made.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, but Lieutenant General Igor was indicted in a Ukrainian court this week for using chemical weapons.
However, Russia has always denied these Ukrainian allegations.
The Russian military has expressed regret over the explosion and intelligence agencies have launched an investigation into the incident.
It should be noted that this is the biggest loss for the Russian military since the start of the Ukraine war. President Putin has described Lieutenant General Igor and his unit as an asset.
