Islamabad: Adviser to the Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah has said regarding the resolution of the problems of federal government employees that the government is facing difficulties in fulfilling all the demands due to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) program.
A statement issued by the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination said that the second meeting of the committee formed under the chairmanship of Adviser to the Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah to resolve the problems of federal government employees was held, in which Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, representatives of the Ministry of Finance, Islamabad Police and officials of the Government Employees Grand Alliance were also present.
Rana Sanaullah said that the officials of the All Government Employees Grand Alliance presented other demands to the committee, including salary discrimination, implementation of the recommendations of the Pay and Pension Commission.
He said that the Prime Minister has given special instructions to provide maximum relief to government employees, the review committee will recommend an increase in the allowance allocated for federal disabled government employees.
He said that the committee will also recommend relief in the recent tax deductions of federal government teachers and a sub-committee has been formed to eliminate the salary gap.
Rana Sanaullah said that the sub-committee is making a financial estimate to eliminate the salary gap and solve other problems, due to the IMF program, the government is facing difficulties in fulfilling all the demands.
The Advisor to the Prime Minister said that work is also being done to provide maximum relief to government employees in the upcoming budget, and workable suggestions are being implemented immediately to solve the problems.
