Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchises are worried about the availability of top foreign cricketers.
According to details, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has kept the PSL at the last place in the priority list. For a long time, there has been a stagnation in the affairs of the league, but now with Salman Naseer becoming the head, the franchises have hoped for some improvement.
Sources say that the team owners recently congratulated Salman Naseer on his new responsibility through a joint letter. He was told that all the franchises are determined to work together. He was also reminded of the issues to be considered. Salman Naseer was asked to talk to England and other cricket boards regarding the availability of players.
It should be noted that the English Cricket Board (ECB) had recently indicated that it would not allow players to participate in leagues other than the IPL in its domestic season.
The IPL auction is scheduled to be held in Saudi Arabia next week, and the list of players has also been revealed. The board has been asked to work on the PSL draft as well.
It has also been asked to finalize the dates for the 10th and 11th editions of the PSL.
It should be remembered that the 10th edition will clash with the IPL due to hosting the Champions Trophy.
During this, the franchises also reminded of their promise to make the PSL a separate company, and emphasis was also placed on discussing the evolution of the teams.
