Islamabad: Pakistan received foreign funding worth $2.66 billion in the first 5 months of the current fiscal year.
The Ministry of Economic Affairs has released a report on foreign funding during the first 5 months of the current fiscal year 2024 (July to November).
The report states that with the addition of $1.2 billion from the IMF, the total volume of financing will exceed $3.68 billion.
Foreign financing of $944.2 million was received during the month of November, and foreign loans of $2.57 billion were taken from July to November.
Grants worth $94.4 million were received in the first five months of the fiscal year, a $5 billion deposit from Saudi Arabia was not received by November 2024, and a $4 billion safe deposit from China was not received.
It should be noted that the federal government has estimated that it will receive $19.39 billion in external financing during the current fiscal year.
