For the first time in the history of Test cricket, 20 wickets fell on the first day in Pakistan.
This incident occurred during the second Test match against the West Indies that began in Multan yesterday. The visiting team won the toss and decided to bat first and the entire team returned to the pavilion after scoring 163 runs.
Later, when Pakistan started the innings, the Green Shirts’ batters also proved to be a wall of sand and the entire team was all out for 154 runs by the end of the day.
Thus, the West Indies got a lead of 9 runs before the start of the second day’s play.
Earlier, a record was set in the first match of the same series when 19 players were dismissed on the second day.
In the match between Pakistan and Bangladesh, 18 wickets also fell in a day. Interestingly, all three matches were played in Multan.
