Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said in a media interview that the federal government or the IMF did not talk to me about the NFC award and there was no discussion about the 18th amendment. There are concerns on other issues, the federal government is discussing it. Pakistan People’s Party will do what is in the interest of the country. We have not allotted land to any housing scheme.
The Chief Minister of Sindh said that I have read today that the contract is being terminated regarding five IPPs companies. The IPPs companies had an agreement since 1994 and their concession agreement was for about 25 to 30 years. This process will definitely reduce the cost of electricity. I think we have little to utilize the surplus power we have.
He further said that the Sindh government had suggested that electricity should be provided to the industrial establishments at a low cost to increase production and employment. I have heard that the proposal of the Sindh government will be implemented in winter.
