Mexican professional wrestler and WWE star Rey Mysterio’s uncle, Rey Mysterio Sr., has passed away.
Family sources and a Mexican wrestling promoter confirmed the death of Rey Mysterio Sr.
Rey Mysterio Sr. was involved in the wrestling industry for nearly 50 years. During his career, he was part of prominent wrestling companies including Pro Wrestling Revolution, Tijuana Wrestling and the World Wrestling Association.
In addition to his extensive career, Rey Mysterio Sr. is known for training several wrestlers, including his nephew and three-time world champion Rey Mysterio Jr.
The family did not give a cause of death. However, his father died a few weeks before his death.
