The State Bank of Pakistan has said that the external debt of the government has decreased by Rs 277 in FY24.
The State Bank has denied the news which claimed that Pakistan’s total debt has reached 315 trillion dollars. In this regard, the State Bank issued a statement explaining that the government’s debt will be 68914 billion rupees by June 2024. While the government has taken a loan of 8073 billion rupees in the financial year 2024.
According to the State Bank, the government’s debt has increased by 13.26% in FY24, while the domestic debt of the government is 47160 billion rupees by June 2024, the external debt of the government is 21754 billion rupees by June 2024.
According to the central bank, the government has borrowed 8350 billion rupees from the local level in the fiscal year 24, the external debt of the government has decreased by 277 billion rupees in the fiscal year 24. According to the report, the global debt in the first quarter of the year has reached a high of 315 trillion dollars. The highest level has been reached.
The Institute of International Finance (IIF) said in its quarterly global debt report that the global debt-to-output ratio rose to 333 percent after three consecutive quarters of decline. The value of the dollar increased by 1.3 trillion dollars quarter-on-quarter.
