President Asif Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have said in their messages on the occasion of World Scout Day that every small step taken today is the foundation of a better tomorrow.
President Asif Zardari said that we pay tribute to the services of Scouts in character building of our youth, Scouting instills discipline and perseverance in the youth, Scouting encourages the youth to serve the society.
The President further said that service is the soul of Scouting, Scouts should be the vanguard to bring about change, Scouts should always be ready to serve in crises and in daily life.
The President said that Scouts should lead initiatives for tree plantation, literacy, and social welfare and help in creating a green, inclusive and progressive Pakistan, he said that every small step taken today is the foundation of a better tomorrow.
President Asif Zardari said that as Chief Scout, I have confidence in the capabilities of our youth, the youth are the future of the nation, they have the ability to pave the way for a strong and prosperous Pakistan.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif said in his message on the occasion of World Scout Day that the role of trained scouts in peace and crises is important, the scout movement in Pakistan will encourage the youth to adopt the values of scouting and dedicate themselves to national service.
The Prime Minister said that on this World Scout Day, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the scouts of Pakistan and around the world because today we are celebrating the spirit of leadership and service, which is the foundation of the entire movement. Every year on February 22, scouts around the world remember the services of Lord Robert Stephenson Smith Baden-Powell, the founder of the scouting movement.
The Prime Minister said that in collaboration with Vision 2030 and the Asia Pacific Region of the World Scout Bureau, the association will strengthen international partnerships, highlight global best practices for Pakistan, and highlight Pakistan’s contributions to global scouting.
