Karachi: England fast bowler Jacob Bethell’s participation in the ICC Champions Trophy has become doubtful.
Tom Benton has been called up to the England squad as his cover-up. A hamstring injury has put the English team in trouble. The English team is playing the ODI series in India in the cold. Bethell is facing the issue of recovering from a hamstring injury.
The 21-year-old pacer was unable to participate in the second ODI of the series against India on Sunday due to this reason. However, he is expected to participate in the third and final match of the series in Ahmedabad on Wednesday. Wicketkeeper-batsman Jamie Smith is also trying to recover from a calf injury in the cold.
