Islamabad: The Supreme Court has upheld the objections of the Registrar’s Office on the petitions of Sher Afzal Marwat and PTI founder Imran Khan on the issue of forming an inquiry commission on rigging in the general elections.
A five-member constitutional bench headed by Justice Aminuddin Khan heard the case. Justice Aminuddin Khan said that arguments should be given on the objections at the next hearing.
Imran Khan’s Hamid Khan said that I am ready, I will give arguments on the objections at the next hearing.
Justice Aminuddin Khan remarked that you have objections, if you cannot give arguments on the objections, then give arguments on the main application.
Lawyer Sher Afzal Marwat Hanif Rahi said that until the objections are removed, I will not give arguments on the main application.
Justice Aminuddin Khan said that we are giving permission, you give arguments. Lawyer Sher Afzal Marwat said that he will not give arguments until his application is numbered.
The constitutional bench adjourned the hearing indefinitely.
