Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan has directed the heads of political parties to submit their returns by August 29.
Under Section 204 and 210 of the Election Act 2017 and Rule 159 and 160 of the Election Rules 2017, the Election Commission has asked the heads of all political parties to submit their accounts for the financial year 2023-24 ending June 2024. Submit returns on or before 29 August 2024.
The Election Commission has clarified that the text of Section 210 of the Election Act, 2017 states that a political party shall, within 60 days of the end of the financial year, submit to the Commission in its return form D through the Chartered Accountant the annual income and expenditure, sources of funding and Will present with details of assets and liabilities.
