ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Qazi Fire Isa says that earlier the decision of the case could be told just by looking at the bench. Now even I don’t know which judges on my right and left side will hear the case.

The Chief Justice had the authority to change the cause list, now this authority has been abolished. The registrar’s job is to schedule cases for hearing. Now the cause list does not come to the Chief Justice.

Qazi Faiz Isa further said that the Chief Justice did not prosecute the case as old journalists said. Now the cases are not decided by the Chief Justice, but by the committee. The Chief Justice said that if any law conflicts with the fundamental rights, it is declared null and void.
