Political Stability in Azad Kashmir: Insights from DG ISPR
DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has said that the political system is working in Azad Kashmir and if the state does not collect taxes, how will the benefits and salaries be paid?
According to Express News, DG ISPR spoke to one thousand students and teachers of different universities in the Palandri area of Azad Kashmir and also answered their questions.
When DG ISPR was asked about the sabotage and anarchic politics of the Public Action Committee, he replied that there is a political system in Azad Kashmir that is working and all the indicators here, including education, health and infrastructure, are very good.
He said that if the state does not collect taxes, how will it provide benefits and salaries? More than 30 percent of the people of Azad Kashmir are government employees. Protest is everyone’s right, but chaos damages the economy.
Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said that Allah has blessed Kashmir with immense blessings. The dreamer of Pakistan was also from Kashmir and even today, many officers and soldiers in the army are Kashmiris.
He further said that the future of Kashmir is “Kashmir becomes Pakistan”.
