Rawalpindi: Defense Day will be celebrated with great enthusiasm in the country while a grand function will be organized at GHQ on September 6 in which the Prime Minister will attend as the chief guest.
On the occasion of Defense Day, the day will begin with a salute of 31 guns in the federal capital and 21 guns in the provincial capital, while prayer ceremonies will be held across the country after the Fajr prayer.
Apart from this, ceremonies will be held at the martyrs’ shrines and Fatiha will be recited and special programs will also be organized at the public and private levels on the occasion of Defense Day.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will be the chief guest in the ceremony held at GHQ, while Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir and armed forces chiefs, ambassadors of many countries and assembly members will also attend.
