Islamabad: The court reserved its decision on bail applications in 7 cases of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi.
In the District and Sessions Court Islamabad, additional session judge Muhammad Afzal Majuka heard the bail applications of founder chairman PTI and his wife Bushra Bibi in 7 cases, in which on behalf of founder PTI and Bushra Bibi. Lawyers appeared in court.
During the hearing of 6 cases against Imran Khan and one case against Bushra Bibi, Bushra Bibi reached the court room. Lawyer Salman Safdar requested the court that the court should give a strict order and then PTI founder will be produced through video link.
During the hearing, the lawyer told the court that there are 5 accused including founder PTI, Bashira Bibi, Farah, Shehzad Akbar in the case of Tosha Khana fake receipts. Only 2 accused have bail applications, not others. It was alleged that the accused committed fraud and issued fake receipts.
The judge asked the prosecutor to present what he had investigated for a year and a half. You allege that the invoice is fake. The prosecutor said that it is written in the page that the receipt was submitted to the Election Commission. The judge asked if he went to the Election Commission, what did he say, to which the prosecutor replied that the Election Commission said that the receipt was presented at the Tosha Khana.
The judge expressed anger at the prosecutor and said, “What did you investigate?” If I follow the law, who are you to file a case? Give proof of where the fake receipt was submitted.
Lawyer Salman Safdar told the court that as far as the Election Commission is concerned, they gave a sentence of 3 years but did not mention this receipt. The judge remarked that tell the jail superintendent that if the founder does not produce the PTI, you will have to stand by.
Advocate Salman Safdar said that founder PTI should not be presented through video link as the video link is bad. Bushra Bibi is present today, you decide her extent.
Later, after hearing the arguments of the lawyer and the prosecutor and the statement of the investigating officer of the case, the court reserved its decision on the bail pleas of PTI founder Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi.
It should be noted that cases were registered against the founder chairman of PTI and Bushra Bibi in the year 2023. These cases are registered in Kohsar, Ramna, Tarnool, Karachi Company and Secretariat police stations.
