Rawalpindi: The Special Anti-Terrorism Court has adjourned the hearing of the May 9 GHQ attack case till October 30.
The copies of the challan were distributed to former interior minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed and other accused, but due to lack of hearing in the jail, copies could not be given to the founder chairman PTI, due to which the indictment is not likely to be filed on the next date. .
Judge Amjad Ali Shah of the Special Anti-Terrorism Court, while hearing the GHQ attack case in the court, distributed the copies of challan among 28 accused including former interior minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, Usman Dar, Amjad Niazi, Raja Basharat. He has been summoned for indictment on October 30.
The PTI founder’s lawyers filed 3 petitions in the Anti-Terrorism Court, which include requests for telephone conversations with the sons, a meeting of the lawyers and a medical examination by a personal doctor.
The court completed the hearing of the three applications and reserved the decision. The lawyers were of the opinion that instructions should be taken regarding the case, so the lawyers should be given a meeting with the founder chairman PTI, while he has not been examined by a personal physician for a long time, so the physician should be ordered to conduct a detailed medical examination immediately. .
