SPCTD sleuths carried out an operation in Lakki Marwat on a tip-off during which a key commander of the banned outfit, Wali, was killed.
According to the police, when an operation was conducted in Tajuri Road near Malang Adda, the armed terrorists there started firing indiscriminately at the police.
The police party also retaliated in which one terrorist was killed while his other accomplices managed to escape from the spot. The deceased person was identified as Wali Allah aka Wali son of Hazrat Ali resident of Bachkan Ahmedzai District Laki Marwat.
Arms and two hand grenades were recovered from his possession.
The deceased was a local commander of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan Tipu Gul group and was the son-in-law of Commander Atiqur Rahman alias Tipu Gul Marwat. He was wanted in many cases of bomb blasts to CTD Bannu, DI Khan and local police, attacks on police and security forces.
