Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the approval of the 26th constitutional amendment is a milestone for the economic and political stability of Pakistan and the welfare of the people, it will make it easier for the common man to get justice.
A meeting of the Federal Cabinet was held under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister. While speaking, Shahbaz Sharif, the legal matters of the common man remain pending in the courts for years, the person who does not have resources and does not have access does not get justice, this constitutional amendment will play a positive role in solving these problems. There is a strong hope that the common man’s affairs will be settled soon. The amendment will be effective and positive for the development, prosperity and stability of Pakistan.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, while expressing his concern over the increasing cases of polio in the country, directed to formulate a comprehensive strategy on an emergency basis regarding the prevention of polio and called for a detailed report and meeting.
The Federal Cabinet approved the referral of the Domestic Violence Prevention Bill to the Cabinet Committee on Legislative Affairs, also approved the reorganization of the Pharmacy Council of Pakistan. The Prime Minister congratulated the Cabinet on the successful holding of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit and said that the SCO conference proved to be very successful, increasing the profile of Pakistan around the world.
After 11 years, the Chinese Prime Minister came to Pakistan. His visit was very successful. This visit will play a key role in further strengthening Pakistan-China friendship. Pakistan’s economic development is getting stable and with our collective efforts, Pakistan will develop rapidly. Inflation has come down to 6.9%, the policy rate has come down substantially and further cuts are expected.
He said that oppression and persecution continues in Gaza and Palestine, children and women are being martyred. Israeli atrocities continue day and night with no reduction, the resolutions of the UN Security Council have not yet been implemented, and the judgment of the Hague International Court has been thrown into the trash. We all pray to God Almighty that there should be a ceasefire there as soon as possible. Stop the killing of innocent Muslims.
The Prime Minister urged the public and the rich to donate to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund. The Prime Minister said that this amendment was indispensable in terms of judicial reforms and the improvement of the justice system. The Federal Cabinet has approved sending the Domestic Violence Prevention and Protection Bill 2024 to the Cabinet Committee on Legislative Affairs, the bill will apply to the Islamabad Capital Territory.
The Cabinet was informed that the bill will provide an institutional framework for prevention of domestic violence. This will not only help in prevention of domestic violence but also provide relief to the victims of domestic violence and also help in punishing the perpetrators of domestic violence.
On the recommendation of the Ministry of Education and Technical Training, the Federal Cabinet approved the appointment of Lieutenant General (retd) Moazzam Ijaz, Engineer Faheem Iqbal and Asim Shehryar Hussain as private members in the Board of Management of the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission.
The Cabinet also approved appointing the Federal Ministry of Law and Justice as the Transmitting and Receiving Agency for receiving applications under the Claims Formancy (Recovery Abroad) Ordinance, 1959.
The Cabinet approved the appointment of the Chairperson and Members of the Examining Body of the National Council for Medicine on the recommendation of the Ministry of National Health. Dr. Shafia Arshad has been appointed as the chairperson of the National Council for Medicine’s Examining Body, while the members of the body include Dr. Rizwan Asif, Muhammad Khurshid Alam, Ikramullah, Moinuddin and Dr. Attaullah.
The Federal Cabinet also approved the reorganization of the Pharmacy Council of Pakistan on the recommendation of the Ministry of National Health. Apart from this, a review meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister regarding the aid sent by Pakistan to Gaza, Palestine and Lebanon.
Shahbaz Sharif directed to send two planes of relief goods to Lebanon and Gaza immediately, to speed up the delivery of goods, and said that apart from air, relief goods were sent to Lebanon and Gaza through trucks. go
He also directed to improve the relations with the Pakistani ambassadors posted in Palestine, Lebanon, Jordan and Egypt regarding the delivery of relief goods and said that it should be ensured that the aid reaches the deserving ones.
He directed to speed up the delivery of relief goods and once again appealed to the public to donate to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund for Gaza and Lebanon. The Prime Minister said that Pakistanis residing in Pakistan and abroad should deposit donations in IBAN No. 2 IBAN: PK11SBPD000000111111429.
