Srinagar: A complete strike was held on Friday against the visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the occupied territory on the call of the All-Party Hurriyat Conference.
The strike was announced by All-Party Hurriyat Conference spokesperson Advocate Abdul Rasheed Minhas in a statement in Srinagar, with the aim of sending a clear message to India that Jammu and Kashmir is an internationally recognized disputed region and Kashmiris are under illegal Indian occupation until the end. Will continue their struggle at any cost.
He strongly condemned Narendra Modi’s visit and said that the Indian leadership tries to mislead the international community about the situation in the region through such visits.
On the occasion of Modi’s visit, strict restrictions have been imposed in Srinagar and adjoining areas in the guise of security.
The Modi-led BJP administration claimed that ending Kashmir’s special status would end development and violence in the illegally occupied territory.
