Lahore, : Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif inaugurated Rajanpur’s first electric bus by boarding the bus at Rajanpur’s Book Chowk,and traveled from Book Chowk to PCB Chowk, Chain Mari. She received a warm welcome in Rajanpur, as traditional welcome with regional Dhol Nafiri (drum and wind instrument) was played along the route.
At Book Chowk, young girls Bushra Wajid and Tubaa Javed presented her flowers and recited welcome verses:”Thank you. Your arrival increased the splendor,Otherwise, this gathering of emotions would have remained incomplete.””Some people are not in need of praise,For flowers are never scented with perfume.”Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif showed affection to the young girls, and was also presented with a traditional Balochi Chaddar (shawl).
Provincial Minister for Minerals, Sardar Sher Ali Gorchani expressed gratitude on behalf of people of Rajanpur by saying,”Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has the same affection for Rajanpur as she has for Lahore.”
He especially thanked Chief Minister for ‘Suthra'(Clean) Punjab, peace, and recruitment of locals in the Border Military Police.On the occasion, Provincial Minister for Transport, Bilal Akbar Khan gave a briefing on the electric bus project. He said,”15 buses will operate on three routes in Rajanpur, including routes from Rajanpur to Fazilpur and Kot Mithan. besides City’s Circular Road route.” Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif was given an enthusiastic reception by the attendees on her arrival at the venue.*****
