Islamabad: The court expressed its anger over the absence of lawyers in the trial case of civilians in military courts in the Supreme Court.
A case related to the trial of civilians in military courts was heard in the Supreme Court. Lawyer Rana Waqar told the court that lawyer Salman Akram Raja was stuck in traffic.
Justice Jamal Mandokhel said that if he had known that the roads were closed today, he would have come out on time. These people probably want the accused to rot in jails. And if these people do not want to prosecute the case, then that is their wish.
Justice Aminuddin Khan inquired whether there is any lawyer for any other party?
The court staff told the judges that no lawyer for any party could reach the court. And there is no lawyer available on the video link either.
Justice Jamal Mandokhel remarked that if you have reached, Salman Akram Raja could also have reached. The court said that any of the lawyers of the party in the case can give arguments if they want.
The court remarked that the hearing of the case is postponed until tomorrow. After which the court adjourned the hearing of the case related to the trial of civilians in military courts until tomorrow.
