Pakistan’s share in global environmental pollution is less than 0.5 percent, but we are among the countries most affected by the disasters and calamities caused by it.
Developing countries like Pakistan cannot take the necessary measures to deal with climate change alone, the international community will have to help developing countries. In addition, on the sidelines of the summit, Shahbaz Sharif met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
Expressing satisfaction over the strong relations between the two countries, the Prime Minister expressed his determination to further enhance cooperation in various fields, including joint projects in technology and renewable energy. The two leaders expressed their determination to further strengthen the strategic partnership in various fields, especially economic and defense cooperation, and to strengthen people-to-people contacts as well as cultural ties.
Shahbaz Sharif also met with Chinese Vice Premier Ding Shuixiang, in which they discussed the promotion of bilateral cooperation. The Prime Minister said that China is a long-standing friend of Pakistan and a new era of strengthening relations between the two countries has begun.
