LONDON: Oxford University has been put in trouble over the involvement of founder PTI in the election of the chancellor.
According to a British newspaper report, the university sought a legal opinion on whether PTI founder meets the criteria for selection as chancellor or not.
For the first time since Lord Patton of Barnes announced his retirement, the university will elect a chancellor by online popular vote, with alumni invited to rate candidates.
Among the candidates are Lord William League, Lord Leiter Mendelssohn, Lady Welsh Angelini and Dr Margaret.
