The Governing Board meeting was held in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Mohsin Naqvi, in which the participants were informed about the Champions Trophy tournament.
A statement issued by the board said that the 76th meeting was held under the chairmanship of PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, in which the decisions of the previous meeting of the Governing Board were ratified.
Governing Board members PCB Chief Operating Officer Sameer Ahmed, Chief Financial Officer Javed Murtaza, PSL Head Salman Naseer and relevant officials attended the meeting.
The participants were informed about the progress made so far on the ICC Champions Trophy tournament, in addition to which they were also briefed on the reconstruction of stadiums.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi took the Governing Board into confidence regarding the Champions Trophy, on this occasion the members appreciated the Chairman’s principled stand on the ICC tournament.
Talking to the participants of the meeting, Mohsin Naqvi said that since the first day I have been talking about the victory of Pakistan and cricket, the board is ready in every way to organize the Champions Trophy tournament.
He reiterated his stance that the Champions Trophy tournament is the honor of Pakistan and we will not allow any word to come on it, we will welcome all the teams, our cricket fans want to see all the teams playing on their grounds.
The PCB Chairman said that I am against politics in cricket, millions of fans love this game, we should not bring politics into it.
