KARACHI: Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that the government has increased its expenses by 25 percent by burdening the people with taxes of 4,000 rupees.
Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi appeared in Karachi’s Accountability Court in the reference case of illegal recruitment in Pakistan State Oil. The court remarked that until the final decision of the Supreme Court comes, no progress can be made in the hearing of the reference.
Talking to the media after the hearing, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that he rejects the federal budget. Pakistan is the first country where if you pay tax, you will have to pay tax.
He said that the country will remain paralyzed until the existence of National Accountability Bureau (NAB). There is no deterrent to smuggling in the country and cigarette smuggling is still going on.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that the new thing in the budget is the tax burden on the people. Tell any company of Pakistan that this is a business friendly budget. Due to the bad policy of the government, it has become difficult to export from Pakistan.
He said that there is no such example in the world that a tax has been imposed even to pay the tax. The tax burden on the people is being increased in many unique ways.
The former prime minister said that we will have to support the operation that will be against the enemy of the country.
