Karachi/Islamabad: The Peoples Party Coordination Committee meeting was held under the chairmanship of party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari at Bilawal House with the aim of strategizing and deliberating on addressing the current political challenges.
The PPP Chairman directed the committee members to contact political parties to determine which issues can be addressed on which political consensus can be established.
The committee’s recommendations will be presented before the party’s Central Executive Committee later this month.
The members discussed their ongoing and unresolved issues related to political, policy and development challenges at the federal level, including Central Punjab, South Punjab, Balochistan and Sindh.
Regarding concerns regarding the federal government, lack of timely consultation on political, policy and legislative matters and non-implementation of promises were identified as major obstacles that need to be addressed.
The participants also expressed concern over the lack of a new consensus to address the challenges faced due to the increasing incidents of terrorism in the country and new ground realities.
According to APP, Bilawal Bhutto was met by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, President PPP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Ali Shah Bacha and General Secretary Shazi Khan.
The Governor KP met the Grand Jirga at the Commissioner House Kohat regarding peace and gave a briefing on the APC to be held in Peshawar on December 5 regarding terrorism and unfair distribution of resources.
The President PPP KP and the General Secretary said that the law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is precarious.
He also conveyed his reservations regarding the federal government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Senator Faisal Vawda also met Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto at Zardari House.
The crisis arising from the politics of hatred and division in the country was discussed. Former Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf also met. The overall political situation was discussed.
