Lahore: Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari’s response to the claim of starting 625 new projects in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has come to light.
In response to Barrister Saif’s statement, Azma Bukhari said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is taking the lead in lawlessness, terrorism and corruption. There are 365 days in a year, but the KP government started 625 projects in a year, these 625 projects of the Gandapur government will be like a billion trees.
She said that she has not seen any minister or Chief Minister of the KP government inaugurating a new project even once in a year. The Chief Minister did not even come to the office 625 times in a year, did the clients get these projects started?
Azma Bukhari said that the province which does not have the budget to run universities should not lie about starting 625 projects if they have to sell the lands of universities. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, government employees protest every week for salaries and local government representatives for funds.
The Punjab Information Minister further said that Ali Amin’s priorities are not the poor people of the province but the prisoners of Adiala. Corruption is at its peak in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The people of the accountability committee are themselves involved in it.
He said that the accountability committee of the person who looted watches, rings and Rs 190 million is itself accountable. The funds received by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from the federal government are only visible for rallies, sit-ins and bandar bant. The federal government should audit the funds given to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
