Pakistani singer Atif Aslam has broken his silence on rumours circulating about his performance in Saudi Arabia.
Atif Aslam, who rose to fame with hit songs like ‘Aadat’, has strongly denied rumours in a statement that he has refused to perform near holy places in Saudi Arabia.
“It is strange that my name is being attributed to things that I have never said,” Atif Aslam said in his statement. He urged the media and the artiste community to report any statement only after verifying its veracity.
“We have performed in Riyadh in the past, which is the best proof of our stance,” he explained. His statement came after a fake statement on social media claimed that Atif’s heart does not accept performing near holy places.
It should be noted that Saudi Arabia has become a center for concerts by international artists since 2017 and so far many big international stars, such as the famous K-pop group BTS, have also performed here.
Atif Aslam is known not only for Pakistani but also for Bollywood hit songs like ‘Dil Diyan Galan’ and ‘To Jaane Na’.
