RIYADH: Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir discussed regional peace, defense and bilateral relations with Saudi Arabia’s Prime Minister and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
According to a statement issued by the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR), Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir is in Saudi Arabia on an official visit and during this time he met the Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Muhammad Bin Salman.
The statement said that in the meeting between the Army Chief and the Saudi Prime Minister, regional peace, defense and security cooperation and bilateral relations were discussed.
Army Chief General Asim Munir thanked the Crown Prince for his support to Pakistan and appreciated his role for peace and stability in the region.
Apart from this, the Army Chief also met with Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman and other senior military officials. In the meetings, the commitment to further strengthen defense and security cooperation was reiterated.
