Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif met the ambassador of Belgium, Charles Edsbald van der Gracht de Romersweil, in which the promotion of mutual cooperation and strengthening of relations was discussed.
In the meeting, the two countries also stressed on finding more opportunities for the development of bilateral cooperation in the future. During the meeting, the Belgian ambassador praised the people-friendly policies of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and appreciated the economic vision of the Punjab government.
Speaking on this occasion, Maryam Nawaz said that Pakistan-Belgium values bilateral relations and will take relations with Belgium to new heights. He said that he wants to further promote cooperation with Belgium in the fields of education, IT and agriculture.
He said that youth are being given world class skills training in IT and special attention is being given to mechanization of agriculture sector in Punjab.
Belgian Ambassador Charles Edsbald said that the steps taken by the Punjab government to control the effects of climate change and improve the environment are impressive. Environment-friendly innovative initiatives in Punjab will have far-reaching results, Belgium is interested in increasing investment and cooperation in various sectors in Pakistan, can benefit from each other’s experiences in education, agriculture and other sectors.
