After the Israeli security cabinet, the government has also ratified the Gaza ceasefire agreement.
According to a statement issued by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office on Friday, the Security Cabinet recommended that the government accept the ceasefire agreement. After this, a full cabinet meeting was called on Saturday morning, where the final approval of the agreement was given.
According to a foreign news agency, the Israeli government has ratified the plan to release the hostages by approving the ceasefire agreement with Hamas. According to a statement issued by Prime Minister Netanyahu’s office, the agreement will take effect from Sunday.
Under the agreement, the release of Israeli hostages held by Hamas will be implemented, while Israel will release Palestinian women and children.
Media reports are also saying that the representative of newly elected US President Donald Trump pressured the Israeli government to approve the agreement. Earlier, the Israeli Prime Minister was seen backing away from the agreement when he baselessly accused Hamas of violating the agreement.
According to foreign media reports, photos of 33 Israelis released from Hamas captivity were released, while on the other hand, the names of 95 Palestinians released from Israeli captivity were also released.
It should be noted that the ceasefire and hostage exchange agreement will take effect from tomorrow, although some hardliners in the Israeli cabinet opposed the agreement, however, the agreement was reached through the efforts of international mediators and the Israeli government has also approved it.
