Pakistan has made it clear that it will continue to work closely with the US for regional peace and stability.
The Foreign Office spokesperson said in a weekly press briefing that Pakistan arrested Sharifullah and handed him over to the US under UN resolutions.
Foreign Office spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan said that the Prime Minister had posted a message on social media regarding the arrest of terrorist commander Sharifullah, saying, “We will continue to work closely with the US for regional peace and stability. Pakistan has arrested Sharifullah and handed him over to the US under UN resolutions.”
The spokesperson said that the Law Ministry can better explain under which law Sharifullah was handed over to the US. The Prime Minister’s reaction to Sharifullah’s arrest was a state response.
Shafqat Ali Khan said that the Indian Minister of State’s insults about Modi’s taking back Azad Kashmir are regrettable and condemnable.
He said that the issue of taking back Bagram Air Base or not is between the Afghan and US governments, they want better neighborly relations with Afghanistan, TTP and other terrorist groups have safe havens in Afghanistan.
The spokesperson said that Afghan authorities were building illegal check posts on the Torkham border, the problem of closing the Torkham border had started due to the construction of illegal check posts.
