Security forces killed an Afghan national involved in terrorism during an operation in North Waziristan.
According to the ISPR, an operation was conducted by security forces in the general area of Datta Khel in North Waziristan on February 6. During the operation, an Afghan national was killed. The dead Afghan national was found to be involved in terrorism inside Pakistan.
According to the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army, the dead Afghan terrorist was identified as Luqman Khan alias Nusrat son of Kamal Khan. Khan was a resident of Spira District, Khost Province, Afghanistan. Contact is being made with the authorities of the interim Afghan government to hand over the body of the dead terrorist.
The ISPR says that such incidents are undeniable evidence of the involvement of Afghan nationals in terrorist activities in Pakistan.
It is hoped that the interim Afghan government will fulfill its responsibilities and prevent the government from using Afghan soil for terrorist activities against Pakistan.
