The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has restored the membership of PML-N Member of National Assembly Adil Bazai and also issued a notification stating that Adil Bazai should be considered as an independent candidate.
The Election Commission has restored Adil Bazai’s membership from National Assembly Constituency 262 Quetta, for which an official notification has also been issued.
According to the ECP notification, Adil Bazai should be considered as an independent candidate instead of PML-N.
It should be remembered that Adil Bazai was accused of deviating from the party policy in the budget and the 26th Constitutional Amendment.
Adil Bazai was disqualified by the Election Commission on a reference filed by PML-N President Nawaz Sharif, however, the Supreme Court reinstated Adil Bazai on the NA-262 Quetta seat.
It may be recalled that on December 9, the Supreme Court had suspended the November 21 decision of the Election Commission and restored the membership of the National Assembly of the defected member of the Muslim League (N) Adil Bazai.
On the other hand, the Election Commission suspended the notification of the disqualification of Adil Khan Bazai.
A statement issued by the Election Commission said that the notification of the disqualification of Adil Bazai from NA-262 Quetta has been suspended until the final decision of the Supreme Court.
