Islamabad: The Adiala Jail Superintendent has been summoned to court for not allowing Bushra Bibi to meet PTI founder Imran Khan.
The Islamabad High Court heard a contempt of court petition filed by the PTI founder for not allowing Bushra Bibi to meet him despite a court order, in which the court summoned the Adiala Jail Superintendent in person on February 27.
Acting Chief Justice Sarfaraz Dogar heard the contempt of court petition against the jail superintendent, in which Faisal Farid Chaudhry appeared before the court on behalf of the PTI founder.
The lawyer told the court that the court’s order regarding the meeting with the PTI founder has not been implemented yet. On January 28, the jail superintendent gave a statement in the court about the PTI founder’s meeting with Bushra Bibi. Despite the statement of the jail superintendent, Bushra Bibi is not being allowed to meet the founder of PTI.
The court asked the State Council why the order of this court was not implemented? The law officer should ensure the implementation of this order. Later, the court summoned the superintendent of Adiala Jail and adjourned the hearing till February 27.
